Summer night scenes..

Starting to feel like summer. Night time is my favorite I know it sounds a bit odd but I’m such a night person, so of course summer nights are the best. Here is the second night photos of this summer. The deck is a work in progress the white on the railings and the deck floor is all treated with paint remover . It was so hot my hubby had to stop so little by little getting rid of the old paint to had the new. Other then that I think the yard looks peaceful with the solar lights illuminating the yard . The sky is a very dark blue, clouds slowly moving in. I was hoping to catch some eyes glowing in the pics through the woods .. but nothing , it’s all calm in the woods tonight . The boys (coyotes) are probably settled in or hunting elsewhere .Sometime tonight I should hear the trains whistle echo through the darkness . Or the dog barking at the nearby house . All such a comforting sound as I lay in the darkness of our bedroom saying my nightly prayers as I’m slowly drifting off to sleep . With that said I guess it’s time to do that . Back to the work week for my hubby and son and for me back to getting the house in order and errands to run as well as my daughter on her day off. Good night everyone.

    1. Thank you , need to paint them again too .one the deck is repainted I want to get a rocker. Love rocking as I read .you can get the solar lights at Walmart . They would look pretty at your place . When you posted your bird feeders the view from the window to your yard is so beautiful .

      1. All the compliments for this yard goes to the gardners and William as I do not go anywhere near the yard during the buggy months. So I thank you on their behalf.

A rocker would be great!!!! Or a porch swing. We had a porch swing on our patio in Arizona. Loved it.

      2. Me and summer nights go way back! I remember as a child goofing off around the yard, there were 2 towers a long way off, but I’d always stare at the little red blinking lights in mesmerized wonder. I remember it being so warm until the wee hours of the night and then it’d get almost chilly outside. These posts bring back memories!

      3. Aww I happy my posts brought these memories back. Yes I remember that it staying warm for so long and running barefoot through the yard but then the dew would come in and the grass would get cool and and damp.

      2. 😂, been there when my son was 14, we had rented a cabin and some land and were sitting out by the fire pit and heard branches crackling as if under someone’s foot…first once then 3 or 4 times and then we ran as fast as we could into the cabin. Crazy!

      3. ha, after thinking about it, we figured it was probably some large animal but my son and daughter had been watching too many horror flicks at the time and got spooked so we went inside and enjoyed the cabin and waited til morning to ‘experience the land’. Haha!
